TFMA has 3 deadlines coming up very quickly! Just a quick reminder to make sure you don’t miss anything!

  1. Nominations for Board Positions closes January 31. Read all about Elections and download the nomination forms.
  2. Recommendations for TFMA Awards. Deadline is February 8. Don’t miss an opportunity to recognize someone you see doing an outstanding job!  Read about and nominate for awards.
  3. CFM/Membership renewal. There is still time to renew! Please check with Markie Casebier, 512-260-7174 if you have any questions or concerns.

]]> Wed, 3 Feb 2021 17:55:39 GMT Roy Sedwick Receives ASFPM's "John Ivey Award" https://staging-tfma.site-ym.com/news/news.asp?id=520924 https://staging-tfma.site-ym.com/news/news.asp?id=520924 At the Monday, June 8, 2020 ASFPM Board of Directors’ virtual meeting, they approved the nomination by CBOR to confer the John Ivey Award for Superior Efforts In Certification to Roy D. Sedwick, CFM, of the Texas Floodplain Management Association.

The John Ivey Award for Superior Efforts In Certification was established by the ASFPM Board of Directors in 2001 to recognize exceptional efforts to promote the professional certification of floodplain managers. Any individual, agency or organization is eligible. The award was named after John Ivey who served as our Professional Development Committee chair in the mid-1990s and was instrumental in the CFM exam development and roll out.
